Territorial programme near Lake Katlabuh combining grain storage, agricultural processing, livestock, renewable energy and community infrastructure.
KANTON Katlabuh is a pilot territory in Odesa Region, Ukraine, near Izmail and Lake Katlabuh in the Danube area. The 654-hectare programme is built around grain: a 15,000-tonne elevator anchors storage and processing, while farming, livestock, circular resource use and energy are planned as one connected territorial economy for a community of around 9,700 people.
Priority clusters include sunflower and meal processing, bio-tableware production, 400 hectares of sorghum, greenhouses and aquaculture, a pig farming complex, a 250 kW biogas plant, a dairy farm, 3 MW of solar PV with 15 MW of battery storage, and logistics and export infrastructure. Around 226 jobs are planned. The aim is local added value, food and energy security and long-term growth for South Odesa. KANTON Alliance coordinates the territorial model and investment preparation.
