Agro-industrial territorial programme on the Danube combining agricultural processing, biomaterials, livestock, renewable energy and community infrastructure.
KANTON Safyany is a pilot territory in the south of Odesa Region, Ukraine, close to the Danube and the border with Romania. Covering 666 hectares across several sites of the Safyany community, the programme turns local agricultural resources and logistics potential into a phased agro-industrial economy for a community of more than 38,000 people.
Planned clusters include sunflower and meal processing, bio-tableware and food powders, bakery and edible oils, 400 hectares of sorghum, greenhouses and aquaculture, a pig farming complex, a dairy farm, a 250 kW biogas plant and 3 MW of solar PV with 15 MW of battery storage. Around 261 jobs are planned. The programme aims to keep value in the region, strengthen food and energy security and develop export logistics towards the EU. KANTON Alliance coordinates planning, site selection and investment preparation.
